Freshmen Orientation will be held within SMU Campus across 3 different runs, and the runs will be pre-assigned to you when the form is submitted. Freshmen Orientation will have 3 runs:

Run 1: 7 - 9 July 
Run 2: 14 - 16 July 
Run 3: 29 - 31 July

A confirmation email will be sent to you at least a week after submitting your sign-up from.

Sign up form can be found in both your SMU Email as well as your Personal Email.

After matriculation, an email will be sent to your personal email. You'll be able to see your SMU's email address under the Receiver Details.

While it is not compulsory to join FO, we highly encourage you to participate as FO is one of SMU's largest-scale events with many opportunities to know other fellow incoming students as well as the campus better.

Yes! There will be orientation t-shirts for those who participate!

Alongside exciting games that will help you meet and bond with students from different schools, there will be a campus tour to help you get familiarised with SMU. Furthermore, there will be performances by our CCAs to showcase our vibrant student life!

Definitely! You will get to meet other freshmen across different Faculties (schools) in SMU.

Bringing guests in is not allowed due to safety concerns.

FO allows you to meet and interact with students from different faculties, helping you build a wider social network and experience university life beyond your own course. In contrast, faculty camps focus on students within your faculty, allowing you to bond more closely with classmates and seniors who share similar academic interests.

No, signups are free of charge!

Freshmen Orientation is open to all Local and International Students.

All 3 runs have an identical programme outline. Hence, you'll only need to attend one run.

Freshmen Orientation is a 3-day programme. No overnight activities will be held.

You are encouraged to wear comfortable attire and covered shoes as there will be games and activities throughout the day.

Definitely bring yourself along with a water bottle, personal medication (if required), and an open mind to kick-start your journey!

Your facilitators will add you into a Telegram group closer to the event to share important updates and reporting information.

Yes, definitely! Lunch will be provided for all 3 days of the Camp.
