University life can be exciting, and at times, overwhelming.

It is perfectly common for freshmen to have difficulty in transitioning to a completely new environment.  During this transition period, you might face various academic and personal challenges.  They might seem intimidating at first but allow yourself some time to acclimate to the new culture.  You may find that you are not alone in this journey.

Consider reaching out to others around you.  Talking to others can help relax and provide opportunities for you to learn how to cope and embrace this new journey.  If, despite your efforts, you still have trouble adapting, either emotionally or socially, you can always contact Mrs Wong Kwok Leong Student Wellness Centre to speak with a professional counsellor.
